A new Sword and Arsenal frame are part of the free update.
It’s been a little over a year since the mecha game Daemon X Machina was released on the Switch. To commemorate the game’s first anniversary, there’s a new free update for the game with some interesting new content.
If you are new to Daemon X Machina, it is a third-person mecha combat game with customizable mecha not too dissimilar to the Armored Core series. Like the Armored Core games, Daemon X Machina also features mecha design by Shoji Kawamori, and many of the original Armored Core team also worked on the game.
In the year since Daemon X Machina was released on Switch, the game has also come to PC and had all manner of DLC. From anime tie-ins, such as Eureka Seven and Code Geass, to gaming tie-ins such as the The Witcher 3.
This new update features some new decals and an Arsenal frame. These are all cosmetic changes you can make to your mecha and are done in the style of the First Studio logo, as this was the team at Marvelous that made Daemon X Machina.
That said, there is also a new sword you can unlock, as well as a new boss fight available. The latter is part of the co-operative aspect of the game, though you can play it both offline and online.
MORE FOR YOU
Anyway, it’s nice that Daemon X Machina is still getting new content, and I hope that there will be a sequel at some point, but in the meantime, I will be in my Arsenal taking down various Colossal Immortals.
Daemon X Machina is currently available for both the Switch and PC.
